Romantic comedies are always fun. But when they involve twins and eccentric uncles, they are a lot more fun!
For Mubarakan, we started by creating a buzz and a countdown for the Jatt Jaguar song, later posting it on social media platforms on 15th July 2017. The song received almost 3 million views and got fantastic reviews from top portals like Indian Express, TOI, Firstpost, MenXP, Pinkvilla, Bollywood Life, DNA etc.
Pre-release, the promotion of the movie was done on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, and India Banega Manch. We also created memes for Mubarakan, which received a huge number of likes along with countdown videos, memes and boomerangs of the star cast.
Different contests were played, one of which was the #HawaHawaMove wherein we asked participants to post a video of them dancing on the Hawa Hawa song. The lucky one would get a chance to share the dance floor with the Mubarakan family. This contest proved to be successful and got the song around 25 million views.
We soon posted the behind-the-scenes video after which we launched the 2nd trailer of Mubarakan on 19th July 2017 across all social media platforms and created review cards for the same. A Facebook Live was done with the #Mubarakan family.
Another contest we did was the #IndiaGoesMubarakan. This involved the participants dancing on any song of the film with their family. The lucky winner would be greeted by the entire Mubarakan star cast at their home.
After the movie released on the 28th July 2017, we executed the #MyMubarakanFamily contest. This was a live contest wherein we asked the users to send selfies while watching Mubarakan movie with their family.
The film was also promoted on the sets of Comedy Nights with Kapil after the release, and gained great reviews from top portals like Hindustan Times, DNA, News Nation and also across the industry from Tushar Joshi, Taran Adarsh, Noyon Sense etc.
